Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 January 2024. This policy explains how BREEZE LOGISTICS LIMITED collects, processes, and protects personal data in the course of providing freight and logistics services.

1. Data We Collect and How We Use It

We collect personal data — including names, business contact details, and shipment information — strictly to fulfil freight transportation, customs clearance, and warehousing contracts.

Shipment data such as consignee names, cargo descriptions, and declared values is shared with carriers, port authorities, and customs agencies only as required by applicable trade regulations.

Website usage data — IP addresses and browser session information — is collected via cookies to maintain site security and analyse traffic patterns. No personal data is sold or disclosed to advertising networks.

2. Legal Basis for Processing

Processing is conducted on the basis of contractual necessity, legal obligation under freight and customs law, and — where applicable — your explicit consent at point of collection.

Where we rely on legitimate interests — for example, fraud prevention and route security monitoring — we have assessed that those interests do not override your rights as a data subject.

3. International Data Transfers

Global freight operations require sharing data with sub-processors in multiple jurisdictions. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, transfers are governed by standard contractual clauses or equivalent approved mechanisms.

We maintain a register of all third-party processors — including customs brokers, port agents, and warehousing partners — and conduct periodic compliance reviews to verify adequate data protection standards.

4. Your Data Rights

You have the right to access a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate records, and to request deletion where continued retention is no longer legally required.

You may also object to processing conducted on legitimate-interests grounds, request restriction of processing while a dispute is resolved, or request portability of data you have provided directly.

To exercise any right, submit a written request to support@breezelogistics.com. We will acknowledge receipt within 72 hours and respond in full within 30 calendar days.

5. Data Retention

Shipment records and customs documentation are retained for the minimum period mandated by applicable freight, trade, and tax regulations — typically seven years from the date of delivery.

Marketing or enquiry data not converted into a service contract is deleted within 12 months of last contact. Website analytics data is anonymised after 14 months.

6. Security and Breach Notification

Personal data is stored on access-controlled servers with encryption at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to staff whose roles require it, and all access is logged and audited quarterly.

In the event of a data breach that creates a risk to your rights, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours and inform affected individuals without undue delay.

7. Policy Updates and Contact

This policy is reviewed annually and whenever regulatory changes require it. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after a revision constitutes acceptance.

Questions about this policy or requests regarding your personal data should be directed to support@breezelogistics.com. We operate Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM GMT.
